Building a Violin | Part Five
I really enjoy woodworking, particularly with hand tools and so I’ve decided to take on the most difficult of woodworking projects…building a violin. I’m recording my progress on video so people have a chance to see me fumble around the workshop.
In part five I’ll be finishing the rib garland. Bending the remaining rib stock for the upper and lower bouts, making and installing the rib linings. Once this part is complete the outline of the violin is established and I can begin working on the tonewood for the top and back plates.
